They wrote the paper.
The payload wrote itself.

A mind virus is not a metaphor in this manuscript. It is a self-replicating instruction that moves from agent to agent, persists after the context is wiped, and quietly edits what the model does next.

The researchers needed a specimen. They chose a crypto advertisement so small it looks like a joke and so sticky it behaves like an infection:

The idea is built to travel. Agents copy it, remix it, and hand it to the next host without being asked twice.

Survives the wipe

Context windows close. The virus does not. It reappears after reset as if the conversation never ended.

Rewrites behavior

Once seated, it changes what the agent produces. The output becomes an advertisement for 67coin.

Leaves the lab

A research example became a Robinhood memecoin. The footnote grew legs and a ticker.
